The Maryland Chapter acknowledges and appreciates the substantial differences in the needs of female physicians and their dual role, as healthcare specialists and family caretakers during all phases of their career: medical school, residency, fellowship, professional practice, and retirement. With that in mind the Women in Medicine Subcommittee was organized in December of 2004 to address the many and varied needs of female medical students and physicians within Maryland. |
